For a couple months now Katie has had a little baby obsession with stripes. She tracks them with her eyes and notices them everywhere. If she is staring in one direction and her eyes are moving back and forth you can guarantee there are stripes in view. She tracks them on my shirt while she is feeding, on her arms or legs when she is playing in striped clothes, and even the sun coming through the window blinds.
She has also become our polka dot girl. Almost every single item she has received as a gift has included polka dots. Many sets of cloths, two handmade quilts, her toy octopus, a teddy bear blanket from the hospital, etc. There are spots everywhere!
Her new fascination is her left hand. She has been watching it for hours over the last three weeks or so. If she is tired and about to fall asleep that little hand is in view. She makes very slow deliberate movements and watches every second. She turns her hand back and forth, moves the fingers independently, opens and closes her fist, waves it around, and on and on and on. It is clearly God greatest creation attached right to her body!
